Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Summary: SLA Keeper collects anonymous performance timing data from your browser sessions on supported SaaS platforms. We do not collect personally identifiable information. You can uninstall the extension at any time to stop all data collection.

1. Who We Are

SLA Keeper ("we", "us", "our") is operated by SLA Keeper (ABN: 59 671 266 131). We provide a browser extension and web platform that independently measures the performance of SaaS applications. Our registered address is 2/290 Boundary Street, Spring Hill, QLD 4000.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@slakeeper.io.

2. What Data We Collect

Performance Timing Data

When you use the SLA Keeper browser extension on a supported SaaS platform, we collect the following timing metrics using your browser's standard Web APIs:

  • Page load timings — navigation start, DOM content loaded, page fully loaded (via the Navigation Timing API)
  • Resource timings — load durations for individual resources such as API requests, scripts, and stylesheets (via the Resource Timing API)
  • API response times — duration of XHR and Fetch requests made by the SaaS application

URL Identifiers

We record the URL path of each page to associate timings with a specific screen or workflow. URLs are automatically normalised before being sent — UUIDs, numeric IDs, long tokens, and other dynamic path segments are stripped and replaced with a placeholder (e.g. /issues/[id]). We do not store raw URLs containing personal identifiers.

Instance & Organisation Identifiers

We derive a non-reversible identifier from your SaaS instance's domain (e.g. your Jira subdomain) to group timings from the same organisation. This identifier cannot be used to identify individual users.

Technical Metadata

We may also collect:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system type
  • Approximate geographic region (country/state, derived from IP address — IP address itself is not stored)
  • Extension version number

3. What We Do Not Collect

  • Your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information
  • Passwords, authentication tokens, or session cookies
  • The content of pages, forms, or documents you view
  • Keystrokes or mouse movements
  • Data from websites not explicitly supported by the extension

4. How We Use Your Data

Collected timing data is used to:

  • Aggregate anonymised performance benchmarks for supported SaaS platforms
  • Provide dashboard reports to your organisation about SaaS performance over time
  • Identify whether a vendor's actual performance meets their published SLA commitments
  • Improve the accuracy and coverage of the SLA Keeper platform

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

5. How Data Is Transmitted & Stored

Timing data is batched locally in your browser and sent to our servers every 60 seconds over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Data is compressed with gzip before transmission. We apply server-side size limits to guard against abuse.

Data is stored in a time-series database hosted on servers located in [Region]. We retain raw timing data for [X months], after which it is aggregated into statistical summaries and the raw records are deleted.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share aggregated, anonymised benchmark statistics publicly (e.g. "the median Jira page load time this week was 1.2s"). These statistics cannot be traced back to any individual or organisation.

We use third-party cloud infrastructure providers who may process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements. We do not share identifiable data with advertising or analytics platforms.

7. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, most data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure) do not apply in the traditional sense — we cannot link timing data back to you as an individual.

You can stop all data collection at any time by disabling or uninstalling the SLA Keeper extension from your browser.

If you believe we hold data about you or your organisation and wish to make a request, contact us at privacy@slakeeper.io.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

The SLA Keeper extension uses browser local storage to temporarily buffer timing data before it is sent to our servers. This data is not a tracking cookie and is cleared after each successful batch upload. We do not use cookies on this website or in the extension for tracking or advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

SLA Keeper is designed for use by business professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
